Gorgeous Portland Pub Relay - May 20, 2023

​6 Pubs, 6 Legs, Much Beer! The Gorgeous Portland Pub Relay is designed to be simple, short, and above all, fun! The race will be back in May, 2023 and it will be fantastic! Join us to run something close to 26.2 awesome miles covering six legs, stopping at six amazing Portland Pubs.  But there's a catch - we don't tell runners the rest of the course!  Scavenger hunt meets relay.  Gorgeous!

IMPORTANT DATES​

• March 01, 2023 - deadline for guaranteed t-shirt size.
• April 20, 2023 - deadline for submitting Volunteer information. Teams registering after should have their volunteer information ready when registering.
• May 6, 2023 - Packet pick-up at Foot Traffic Sellwood from 10:00am-2:00pm. If you are unable to pick-up your packet at packet pickup you will be charged an $25 administrative fee to pick up your packet on race day.
• May 20, 2023 - RACE DAY! Begins at 10:00am. Location to be announced soon!

RACE INFORMATION​

• All runners receive a t-shirt, beer tastes at every exchange, finisher's medal, pint glass and a free beer at the finish line party.
• Start and Finish line will be announced soon. At the Start, each runner and van driver will receive a map to the next pub, where they will exchange runners, receive the next map and enjoy a taste of a great Portland beer! This is an urban-scavenger-relay. Volunteers will be on course at turns, but puddle jumping, construction, and train dodging are par for the course!
• Teams must average a 12:30 minute per mile pace. Exchanges will close after the 12:30 per mile pace window. Teams that are not accurate with their submitted pace time may get ahead of or behind the volunteer coverage and could be held or asked to skip ahead.
• Teams provide their own vehicle, only one vehicle per team - No motor homes or vehicles longer than 20 feet.
• The relays of the Gorgeous Series are about a fun day running through Gorgeous parts of Oregon with friends - both the ones you came with and new ones you meet along the way. No refunds (including for downsizing your team), and no deferrals. But, you can increase your team size, swap out team members, and access the available runner pool.
• Each team must supply one volunteer for race day (not required for Ultra Gorgeous Runners).
• Participants must be 16 years of age or older on race day.

​Severe Conditions – Race Modification or Cancellation Policy.
Runners make a tremendous commitment to participate in a race and it is our goal to celebrate that commitment by putting on a wonderful race. The only thing that is more important is the safety of participants – runners, volunteers, spectators and vendors. Unfortunately, events can occur beyond the control of race directors or race participants that would make a race unsafe to run as scheduled. In the event of extreme conditions (fire, ice, extreme heat, COVID-19, or other), race directors will work with local public safety and our own medical advisors to determine if the conditions are safe for race participants and volunteers. In the event that conditions are deemed unsafe, race directors may modify or cancel the race at their sole discretion. In these extreme circumstances, as is true throughout the race industry, refunds may not be offered. Most of the costs involved in producing a race happen long before you go to the start line.
