  1. All the Team Captain has to do is hit the Register Now button, and purchase a team of the size you want.
  2. You can enter your team member information when you buy the team, enter it later, or send a link to your team members and let them enter their own information.
  3. Each team must supply one volunteer for race day - either by recruiting your own volunteer, or Sponsoring a volunteer from our amazing nonprofit partners. All the details are on the Volunteer page. (Not required for solo runner.)
  4. There's also a page to help you Manage Your Relay Registration.

Important Dates - 2020 event cancelled - We'll see you in 2021!
  • Sunday, July 12 - deadline for guaranteed t-shirt size.
  • Saturday, July 18 - deadline for submitting Volunteer information, team waivers and team's average 10k time.  Teams registering after 7/18 should have their volunteer information ready with registration.
  • Wednesday, July 22 - Start Times posted on the TEAM STATUS PAGE for Teams who have submitted team's average 10k time, waivers, and have sponsored a volunteer or whose volunteer has signed up for a position. (We'll send an email to your volunteer when positions open 7/19/20).
  • Saturday, August 1 - Packet pick-up, 4:00-5:30 pm; Captain’s meeting, 4:20 pm. Hosted by Foot Traffic (10% off during packet pick-up!) Foot Traffic Southeast, 7718 SE 13th. To receive bibs, teams must have met requirements for Start Times, above. [Captain's meeting not required -we will email the Captain’s meeting information to Captains the next day. Race Information
  • Swag - All runners receive a t-shirt, beer tastes at every Exchange, finisher's medal, pint glass and a free beer or zero proof option at the finish party - Gorgeous!
  • Start and Finish line will be revealed early in 2021. At the Start, each runner and van driver will receive a map to the next pub, where they will exchange runners, receive the next map and enjoy a taste of a great Portland beer! This is an urban-scavenger-relay. Volunteers will be on course a turns, but puddle jumping, construction, and train dodging are par for the course!
  • Teams will launch in waves starting at 11:00 am.
  • Teams must average a 12:30 minute per mile pace. Exchanges will close after the 12:30 per mile pace window. Teams that are not accurate with their submitted 10k time may get ahead of or behind the volunteer coverage and could be held or asked to skip ahead.
  • Teams provide their own vehicle, only one vehicle per team - No motor homes or vehicles longer than 20 feet.
  • The relays of the Gorgeous Series are about a fun day running through Gorgeous parts of Oregon with friends - both the ones you came with and new ones you meet along the way. The relays are untimed to promote that feeling of community, as well as to encourage safe running on the open course. And, each leg can be run by any runner in any order you please.
  • No refunds (including for downsizing your team) or deferrals, BUT! you can increase your team size, swap out team members, and access the available runner pool.
  • Participants must be 16 years of age or older on race day.

Team Management
  • From RunSignUp, use your Relay Team Page to manage your team.
  • More detailed information is on the Manage Your Relay Registration page.
  • Unfortunately, you won't be allowed to see if your team members have signed their waiver. If you didn't sign the waiver during registration, RunSignUp sends an email with a link to sign the waiver to the email listed for the runner in the system. Starting July 12, 2020, RunSignUp will send a reminder email to runners that need to sign their waiver, and we'll keep a running list on the TEAM STATUS PAGE.
  • Check out the How to Relay page for tips from our very own Gorgeous Gurus!

Severe Conditions – Race Modification or Cancellation Policy.
Runners make a tremendous commitment to participate in a race and it is our goal to celebrate that commitment by putting on a wonderful race. The only thing that is more important is the safety of participants – runners, volunteers, spectators and vendors. Unfortunately, events can occur beyond the control of race directors or race participants that would make a race unsafe to run as scheduled. In the event of extreme conditions (fire, ice, extreme heat, or other), race directors will work with local public safety and our own medical advisors to determine if the conditions are safe for race participants and volunteers. In the event that conditions are deemed unsafe, race directors may modify or cancel the race at their sole discretion. In these extreme circumstances, as is true throughout the race industry, refunds may not be offered. Most of the costs involved in producing a race happen long before you go to the start line.
